This Week: Top 10 Books On My TBR I’m Avoiding Reading and Why 😸
#10 On my TBR since August 2015

Oh my gosh, love this cover. I’m pretty sure I added this to my TBR after reading Illuminae. BUT it’s the start of a series. And as you’ll see, that’s kind of a theme for this post – trying to not start another series until I’ve finished a few. YA, Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi. They’re on a spaceship. I’ve heard the end is a little weird and I’m kinda worried it’ll go over my head.
#9 On my TBR since August 2015

I don’t remember how I heard about Alienated. YA, Romance, Sci-Fi, Aliens…I mean it has a lot of potential. I don’t know. It’s another series…and I’ve already started like a thousand series. I love this cover though!
#8 On my TBR since August 2015

I loved the movie and have heard the book has many differences. Does that mean I won’t like the book? I am Number Four is polarizing. It seems that most people either give it 5 stars or 2 stars.
#7 On my TBR since August 2015

The 5th Wave movie was just meh for me, however, I’ve heard the book is really good. And like I’ve mentioned, I’m trying to not start another series. Thirdly, it’s received glowing reviews and I’m a little worried I won’t like it.
#6 On my TBR since August 2015

I liked The Fault in our Stars and Looking for Alaska has a great average rating on Goodreads, yet I still haven’t read it. After hearing a few unsavory things about John Green I’m just a little leery of reading another book written by him. Should I forget what I’ve heard about the author and just give the story a shot?
#5 On my TBR since January 2015

I know, I know. I really need to read this. All the Light we Cannot See is a Goodreads Choice winner in 2014, it has rave reviews, I know I’m probably going to love it, however, it’s kinda big. At over 500 pages I know this one will be a commitment that’ll break my heart.
#4 On my TBR since January 2015

Glitches, The Queen’s Army, The Little Android, and Fairest have all been on my TBR since I finished The Lunar Chronicles series. They’re all short, so I could just read them all in the same day. Hmmm…that’s an idea.
#3 On my TBR since November 2014

I’ve been avoiding Night because it’s the first book of a series, and well, you already know I’m trying really hard to not start another series PLUS I’m a little afraid of how hard-hitting this story will be.
#2 On my TBR since September 2014

How have I lived for 38 years and still haven’t read The Giver? I’ve heard such great things and some not-so-great things, so I’m a little afraid I’ll be disappointed. Before I pick this up I need to clear my mind of any expectations and just give it a go.
#1 On my TBR since September 2013

In 2013 I was part of a local book club and The Kite Runner was the choice for our September read that year. I remember starting to read it, but for some reason I didn’t finish and I haven’t picked it back up since. I’m worried about how broken I’ll be. I need to put on my big girl pants and just get it done.
