My Review

โ€บ At less than two hours long, this audiobook packs a punch. Long Way Down is an emotional story-told-in-verse about racism and gun violence. I love the imagery of fifteen-year-old Will traveling down an elevator, down the road of truth, discovering details of his brother’s death. I have to admit, I was cooking supper as I was listening (which I often do with audiobooks and it’s fine), and I wasn’t able to absorb what Reynolds was saying. Once I sat down and just listened with my full attention this poem moved me to tears many times. Highly Recommend!
